Pro tip : The more you don’t want to do something, the more you need to make them into small steps. It not only makes them available, but it makes them more appealing for various reasons.
One example is the case where you don’t want to meet healthy people at the gym because they’d think you’re worthless, and you think they’re worthless back rotting their lives at the gym, even though you like the idea itself of going to the gym. Well, that might be true, but especially in this case, people at the gym were the best people I’ve ever met in my life. In most cases people make assumptions and don’t bother to check them out. However, once you’re in front of the gym, you’d feel like at least checking out after all the steps you’ve taken to get there. You hopefully don’t feel appaled by the idea of ‘getting out of bed’ or, ‘walk outside of house’, but you’re appaled by the idea of getting inside the gym. The former steps push your back.
